Sami & Connor

Sami & Connor came over one night after work and daycare for a fun evening of playing!

Brody insisted on riding Dane's bike, which he falls off a lot, so Sami was nice enough to help him!

And since he looooooves Sami so much, that went on for a while!

We walked down the street to the park, where they just replaced all the equipment! But first, Connor had to try out the good ol' swings.

And once again, Brody needed to try it all so Sami chased him around and followed everywhere he went to make sure he didn't fall off anything and break open his noggin!

Road Trip!

Nicole was getting married to Eric on August 4th, so we headed out with our 2-car caravan, and made it to Wyoming on Friday evening.

Aunt Bubba, Mom & the boys in 1 car, Granny & Gramps in another car. We did a little trading on the way there, but the trip went very well, with very few tears! Yahoo!

We stopped for a picnic lunch that Granny had packed at the city park in Bowman.

It was a little chilly for some reason that day. Good thing the boys at least had sweatshirts. Nobody else really had the proper attire for a cold day.

Then after supper that evening, the boys, mom & Granny hit the pool. Gramps & Aunt Bubba observed.

Finally braving the pool. This was the first time Brody really ever has enjoyed being in a pool. He's usually too cold to relax and have fun. They were both loving jumping in the water and splashing so it looks like we'll have to look into swimming lessons in the not so distant future, as I'm sure they're going to love it!

The day of the wedding, Aunt Bubba was busy as photographer assistant so the rest of us ran a little shopping errands, then found a park to get rid of some energy that morning before eating and taking an early nap to accomodate the wedding time!

Yes, this shows that I am nearly 5 foot 6 inches tall. I'll take it!

On the last day of the fair, we finally made it there as a family to walk around, take a few rides, and eat more food than necessary!

What a perfect day for it! We got there nice and early before the rides started and the commercial buildings opened, and as some food places were opening so we went to stare at some animals first!

dane was dying to try the bouncy slide, so that was the first one we went to. brody was too small, so he had to wait with us and watch dane climb!

as he was ready to come down, he asked if he could come down on his stomach. the carny said yes, so he took off! as he was coming down, she then said, 'just not head first', which, of course, he did! because how fun is it to go on your stomach and backwards?

so dane was banned from this ride for the rest of the day! hahaha!

while brody was mini-jumping, dane rode the motorcycles. he was really disturbed by this carny and could hardly enjoy the rough, jumpy, bumpy ride. weird.
