He has been lucky enough to go fishing on a bridge over the river near daycare once in a while. There is a small group of the older kids who get to walk a few blocks down the street to hang their line over the side of the bridge! I'm sure it's quite the sight to see!
Dane caught a bullhead while fishing at daycare once, but this day at the lake was much better!
Everybody carried their stuff almost the whole way down from parking in a camping spot to the edge of the water, though a bunch of tall weeds and grass! Such big boys!
Havin' a good time, playing in the water and rocks....who needs a beach?!?!
About 60 seconds after Dane sat down with his line in the water, he got a bite!!!
Watching Dad reel it in because he was so excited!

We let it go back into the big ol' blue as none of us are fans of eating fish, not to mention, we didn't really come prepared with anything to tote a fish home with, talk about a negative attitude!

Rough day...passed out within 5 minutes of leaving!
Fell asleep with his head hanging forward since he sits in a booster now in Dad's truck. Hard to take a nap like that so I propped it up with a stack of towels....did the job, I guess, as he slept the whole way home!
Good job, Dane! Uncle Jeremy says Dane's catch was a small mouth bass.
