Yes, that was haircuts, with an 's'....meaning, both Dane AND Brody got a haircut on Monday! This, being Brody's first haircut ever, was kind of a big deal.
Maybe only moms of boys will understand this because you can let a girl's hair grow and grow and grow without a haircut and nobody thinks that is unusual.
Well, we have let Brody's hair grow and grow and grow, and just now after being over 2 1/2 years old did we finally warrant the need for a trim. More or less to avoid the look of bed head at any time of day.
I was somewhat against it, but after repeatedly noticing a potential rat-tail in the back of Brody's head, I finally agreed to let him have a haircut when Dane got his next one!
He thinks he is such a big boy now!
....and he is!
So happy they both got to participate in a haircut! Involving a sucker reward :)

The barber was kind of excited to save some hair for me to put in Brody's baby book, and found a certificate after digging in several of his cupboards to document the date and event!
Brody suffers from second-child syndrome where sometimes events like this are not the big deal they were with the first child, especially when no other siblings were around, thus no documentation during the actual haircut, except from my cell phone. I promise that I MEANT to bring my actual camera and take lots of pictures, but it was Monday, etc, etc, etc. You know....
Brody sat still like a champion and let the barber do his magic with no issues whatsoever! He's becoming such a big boy!
