procedure

 We had to be at the children's hospital by 8 am on Monday morning.

 The traffic from our hotel to the hotpistal wasn't actually as bad as I thought it would be for the time and day!

Sedation was set to start at 9 am, but actually probably happened 20 minutes late, which is a huge improvement from last year, after waiting HOURS without food or drink for sedation. Although it was awful to watch and take part in, in comparison to last year, it was a breeze.

When we first got to the hospital, the boys attacked everything in this little waiting room along a hallway.

Waking up a little cranky, working hard to get back to feeling normal, then ready to eat, shortly after! Enjoying a cracker first.

The social worker tried just as hard to keep Dane entertained. They are so great about taking care of the whole family when we are there, not just the patient!

on sunday, all of the boys except brody went to a twins/cubs baseball game!

since the game was at naptime, and involved a lot of sitting still, we decided brody would probably not do so well in the setting and opted to split up for 2 different kinds of entertainment.

june trip to minneapolis

in june, we had to make a trip to minneapolis for brody to have a bone marrow biopsy done.

we decided to try to squeeze in some family fun before and after, if possible, since we were on a trip anyway!

we headed out on saturday morning and returned late wednesday evening.
