Smart cat

Marby, just enjoying some sun, while playing Lego's!

No big deal!

Splash pad

Grandma asked if the boys and I wanted to go to the splash pad one hot Sunday when Brody was finally feeling close to back to normal!

Of course, they said YES!

Dane spent about 25 minutes playing with this single upward stream of water, coming from the ground.
And yes, a lot of that time, he was letting it shoot up his shorts....

Brody spent a while doing laps around the whole system, rather than getting wet (he's more of an observational swimmer/water sport participant), sometimes on his feet, sometimes on all fours.

After some hard running,
jumping,
splashing,
crazy-ness
outside, we needed to settle down a little bit and do some serious coloring....

Intense.

Chicken nuggies

What we considered to be one of Brody's first 'real meals' after surgery

....chicken nuggets with ranch.

He did well and has been on the road to healing wonderfully since!

I'm sure it was a refreshing change from pancakes and/or scrambled eggs 95% of the time!

Picnic lunch

Working together to get the picnic blanket spread out nicely....
Brody snuck out to the garage, opened the back lift gate on my car, and was attempting to get this blanket out of the back of my vehicle when I discovered him. Sneaky little bugger! Apparently, to him, THIS is the picnic blanket!

Too tired to eat?

Cheese! We love watermelon!

And pickles!

Did I mention, WE LOVE WATERMELON???

Not sure if either of them realized this, but they were 'holding feet' while we ate lunch on the blanket! awwwww :)

We also love peanut butter! :)

Sandbox

After slipping and sliding, the boys decided the sandbox was a good idea!

They were really getting down to work!

Then we spotted a snake!

and had to follow it....

until we chased it around the side of the garage....FAR away from us!

Phew!
